How to stop your chatbot quoting the wrong price
Your chatbot doesn’t know your prices. It guesses from whatever it read, and sometimes it guesses wrong. Here’s how to make sure a wrong price never reaches a customer.
- Write down your real prices. In Nexxtool, open Facts and add them in plain sentences, like “Starter costs $29 a month.” Or upload your price sheet as a document.
- Turn on knowledge checks. Make sure knowledge checks are on for your connection, so each reply is compared against your facts.
- Connect your chatbot. Point it at your Safe AI address, or send each reply to the check API.
- Test it. In Try it live, paste a reply that quotes a price lower than yours. It should be blocked with a reason that names the wrong price.
- Pick your fallback line. When a reply can’t be fixed, the customer sees something safe, like “Let me get a team member to help with that.”
That’s it. Your bot can keep chatting; it just can’t make up prices anymore.
