Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you and [OWNER: legal entity name and form, e.g. company name and state of registration] (“Nexxtool AI”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you accept for a company, you confirm you may bind it.
1. The service
Nexxtool AI checks AI-written text against rules you set and returns a pass or block result with the reasons, through a web API, a dashboard and documentation. It checks text; it does not send, block or change messages in your systems, and your application decides what to do with the result. The features, limits and prices of each plan are described in the pricing section and in the documentation.
2. Who may use it
The service is for businesses and adults aged 18 or over, for business use. You may not use it if you are under 18 or if the law bars you from using it.
3. Accounts and API keys
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe. API keys are credentials: you are responsible for keeping them secret and for everything done with them. Revoke a key in the dashboard if it may be exposed, and tell us at support@nexxtool.ai if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for the AI replies you check and for how your own systems use our results.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
There is a free plan and paid plans. Billed monthly. Renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime in your dashboard. Paid plans are charged in advance each month to your card through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, plus any tax that applies. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, plus any tax. If a payment fails we keep your plan for a 7-day grace period and email you; if it is still unpaid your account moves to the Free plan.
You can upgrade at any time (charged pro rata for the rest of the period). A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in your dashboard (Plan and usage, then Manage subscription). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep paid access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are described on the refund policy page, which is part of these terms.
6. Usage caps
Each plan has a hard monthly cap on checks and a per-second request limit. When the monthly cap is reached further checks are refused (HTTP 402) until the 1st of the next month (UTC) or until you upgrade. We never bill you for going over: there are no overage charges. Unused checks do not roll over.
7. Acceptable use
You may not: break the law with the service; attack, probe or overload it or try to get around caps, limits or security; resell or sublicense access except as part of your own product; copy the service to build a competing one; submit content you have no right to submit; or help anyone do these things. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
8. Availability
We run the service on a best-effort basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer an uptime guarantee or service credits. Features may change over time.
9. What the checks do and do not do
Nexxtool AI checks replies against the rules and facts you give it. It can only find what your rules describe. A pass does not mean a reply is correct, safe, lawful or fit for any purpose, and a block is not a finding that anything is wrong. The service does not give legal, medical or other professional advice and does not make you compliant with any law or standard. You stay responsible for what your AI says to your customers.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Nexxtool AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. 11. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time (Settings, “Delete my account”). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if the law requires; where reasonable we will tell you why first. When an account ends your data is handled as the Privacy Policy says. Sections that by nature should survive (amounts owed, liability, governing law) survive.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California. Mandatory rights that apply to you by law are not affected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date are at the top of this page. For material changes we email account holders at least 30 days before they apply; if you keep using the service after that you accept them, and you can cancel before then.
