Connect
Three ways to connect Nexxtool AI
Nexxtool AI checks every AI reply against your rules and facts before your customer sees it. Pick the way that fits how your chatbot is built. You can use more than one.
1. API key
Who it is for: A developer who can add a few lines to the chatbot’s code.
What it does: Your code sends each reply to Nexxtool AI and gets back pass or block, a score and the reasons. You decide what to do next.
What you get:
- A clear pass or block for every reply, with the reasons
- Your own rules and facts, set in the dashboard
- Safe repairs for some problems, such as a wrong price next to a plan name
- Works for text, JSON, HTML, script, research and automation replies
- Safe to retry: send an Idempotency-Key and a repeated call is not counted twice
How to set it up:
- Sign up and create a key in the dashboard.
- Send each reply to
POST https://nexxtool.ai/v1/validatewith your key. See the Quickstart. - If the answer is block, send your fallback line instead of the reply.
2. Safe AI address
Who it is for: Anyone whose chatbot or tool lets you set its AI address in its settings.
What it does: You paste one address where your tool asks for its AI address. We pass the question to your AI, check the reply, ask your AI to fix it if it breaks a rule, and send your fallback line if it still fails.
What you get:
- No code to write: you change one address in your tool’s settings
- Every reply is checked before it goes out, and a reply that fails is never sent
- Use your own AI account, or choose Our AI
- Works when your tool asks for streamed replies: we check the whole reply first, then send it
- The reasons stay in your history; your customer sees only your fallback line
How to set it up:
- Sign up, open Connect your AI, add your AI key (or choose Our AI) and press Test connection.
- Tick the rules you want and copy your Safe AI address:
https://nexxtool.ai/v1/connect. - Paste it where your tool asks for its AI address. See Safe AI address.
3. Connector
Who it is for: Anyone who works inside an AI app that supports connectors and wants to ask Nexxtool AI from there.
What it does: You talk to Nexxtool AI from inside your AI app. Your AI reads your rules and facts before it writes, and checks the reply before it is sent.
What you get:
- Your AI gets your rules and facts first (this step is free)
- Check a reply, or fix it, before you send it
- Ask why a reply was blocked and get a plain reason with a suggested fix
- Try rule changes on sample replies before you save them
- See your usage and a summary of your history
How to set it up:
- In your AI app, add a connector with this address:
https://nexxtool.ai/mcp/connect. - Sign in with your Nexxtool account and allow it.
- Ask your AI to read your Nexxtool guidelines before it writes, and to check its reply before it sends. See the connector docs.
Sign-in is with your own Nexxtool account, you can disconnect an app at any time in Settings, and rules are only saved after you approve them.
